Velainu Vandhutta Vellaikaaran

Director: Ezhil

Music: C. Sathya

Star: Vishnu, Nikki Galrani, Soori

Tamil comedy film written and directed by Ezhil and produced by Vishnu.

Pushpa Purushan (Soori), the hero’s sidekick, offers some salvation with his rib-tickling one-liners, but the movie is pushed into what is increasingly being (mis)termed these days as ‘family entertainer’. In this movie, the family entertainment is delivered through a 50-year-old MLA behaving as a 10-year-old, lollipop-licking adult who recites the same nursery rhyme endlessly.

A buffoon of a bar-tender also slips into police uniform, acts as a top cop and fools a woman - Archana (Nikki Galrani) who aspires to join the force.

Vishnu Vishal essays Murugan ‘Jacket’, a sari-blouse designer turned comrade-in-arms to the MLA. Things get out of hand when Jacket must hand over a Rs 10 lakh bribe to the director general of police to get Archana placed in the force.

The MLA slips into a coma after a road accident, and is key to a minister’s secret bounty of Rs 500 crores. More chaos continues as Murugan, Archana and Purushan get entangled with a bunch of people trying to get their hands on the wealth.
