Iraivi (இறைவி)

Director: Karthik Subbaraj

Music: Santhosh Narayanan

Star: Vijay Sethupathi, Bobby Simha, S.J.Surya, Anjali

The film mainly focus on the complicated relationships and life happenings of three men who are related to each other. It also talks about how men take women for granted

and how men feel superior over women and about male ego. The similar plot we have seen earlier in few Balachander and Balu Mahendara films, which are missing in current generation film making.

The one who surprises us with rocking performance is SJ Surya, as a drunkard, disappointed person Arul, he just killed it. Watch out for the climax scene and his conversation with vijay sethupathy in the pre-climax portion. First half entirely belongs to S J Suryah. Film takes him to the next level of acting.

Vijay Sethupathy as Michael, a loyalist to Arul. It’s a cakewalk role for him and he nailed it with matured & well settled performance.

Film has three lead ladies – Anjali, Kamalinee Mukherjee and Pooja Devariya. One who scores among them is Anjali. She has given a brilliant performance. Anjali – Vijay Sethupathi scenes are worth mentioning. Pooja as a modern bold girl and Kamalini as SJ Surya’s wife. Kamalini – SJ Surya conversation scenes are pretty interesting.

Highlights of the film are – Bold presentation, Performance of SJ Surya, Vijay Sethupathy and Anjali, Thoughtful dialogues, Music, Interval and climax portions.
