Melliya Kodu is a Tamil thriller movie that revolves around a murder mystery in
which a high-profiled woman called Maya, played by Manisha Koirala, will be
murdered. The whole story runs behind the investigation of the case
by Sharath Chandra, played by Arjun, who is a smart Police Officer.
Kannada and Telugu fame actor Shaam will be seen in different shades as both a
caring as well as a criminal husband who will be the prime suspect behind the
murder.
It is said that the
Actor Arjun’s performance will be the highlight for the movie with his subtle
performance as a responsible cop and a caring father. There were rumors doing
rounds in the media that the movie is based on the real life of late Sunanda
Pushkar who is the wife of former Union Minister Shashi Tharoor which the
director denied. The slow pace story is well managed with the background music
offered by maestro Ilaiyaraaja.
Oru Melliya Kodu is
a bilingual movie that is also taken in Kannada language as ‘Game’ which was
already released in the month of February. Though the story went well in the
audience including the thrilling, action factors, the movie couldn’t do well
because of the slow narration.
Interesting point is
that Arjun and Manisha Koirala shared the screen space after 16 long years and
it is the actress’s debut in Kannada films.
